MaritimeCalculator is a simple tool for the maritime navigator.
The app contains several useful conversions between different relevant units, calculates ETA, positions, true wind direction etc.
The app was developed by Sven Janson.

But is the time of sunrise/sunset in UTC or time of the present position?
Very usefull app. But I have one thing which is only a minor. It could be more easier to set the figures also by hand. Than you didnt have to scroll from 0 to 179. But all in one a great app. Thanks. I am looking foreward to the new release.

Everything is perfect but Sailings does not work in iOS 5 please fix that problem
Im a merchant marine officer...for me it is a pretty good app...I would give more stars once the upcoming feature would be available!!;-)...Ive been utilizing it onboard the ship where Ive been recently!!!can be pretty usefull!!!please some upgrades!!:-)
Some bad moments
Time zone reports 02:35 for my local time when I think it meant 12:35 and sunrise/sunset wont display unless you turn one of the click wheels. But otherwise a nice wealth of information. I would report these problems to the developer, but cant find how to do this on the Marimatech website.
Some little bugs but excelent for this first version. Ill wait for the next. Verum useful.
This is best app ever! Many thanks to the developer "Sven Janson"! I had been a deck officer for many years and I finally found nautical calculator in app store!
Its is an awesome app. I need the stability part though right now because I am in a stability class this semester! It would be helpful. I would really like to see the AIS in action also. So hurry up with the updates! Right on though its a great app.
So far it might be the MOST useful app I have downloaded yet.
Most of the useful sailing apps cost $. This is one of the few apps (not listed as sailing per say) that is actually useful for sailing. I do think it has more applicability for larger ships, but it has some nice elements that I found very useful for general sailing. The true wind calculator is great!
